Coming this Fall, students in 3D Design will have the opportunity to merge their knowledge of Virtual Reality and Computer Modeling into one. The new course offer 01T:028 - Digital Forming aims to have students develop a design process using 3D Virtual tools to creat objects and forms printed with Rapid Prototyping Technology.
In order to make this happen, the new application Leona3do was added to the complement the applications the students are already introduced (AutoCAD, 3ds Max, Adobe Creative Suite and WorldViz Vizard).
While working in the Leona3do interface, the students must wear a set of 3D glasses and hold a bird device that functions as a mouse to create forms in space, allowing manipulation of shapes in the air. Talk about digital sculpting! :)
